Who’s Really in Charge? When Justice is Blinded by Politics, Common Sense Must Step Up
In response to For Trump, This is a Dress Rehearsal from the Atlantic.com
Let’s set the record straight.
The current political battleground isn't about one man’s grip on power—it’s about the slow dismantlingof the very framework that gives all of us power: the Constitution.
The narrative that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy is getting old. What’s actually under siege? Our right to safety, the rule of law, and the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution to every American citizen—regardless of who’s in office.
While headlines are distracted by political theater, our neighborhoods are being flooded by violent offenders—rapists, murderers, gang members, and drug traffickers—who enter this country through broken policies and leave a wake of destruction. And when they're caught? A “justice” system, neutered by politics and ideology, lets them go.
Meanwhile, if a citizen commits a similar crime, they’re looking at decades—or life—in prison. Equal justice under the law? That’s become a punchline.
This isn’t just about crime—it’s about who is protected and who is sacrificed.
When those in power choose to ignore the law, distort its purpose, or apply it selectively, they aren’t just failing—we are all being betrayed.
🙏 A Prayer for Clarity and Courage:
“Divine Creator, help us see clearly through the fog of division. Give us the courage to speak truth when it is unpopular, to defend justice when it is weak, and to act with compassion even when fear tempts us to close our hearts. Let common sense, guided by Your wisdom, be louder than the noise of politics. Amen.”
